How It Works
Coverage in three steps
Step 1
Declare the Value
Declare your item's real value when creating a shipment — insurance coverage is calculated on this amount.
Step 2
Activate Coverage
For high-value shipments, request additional insurance from our operations team; pricing is quoted per shipment.
Step 3
Loss / Damage Claims
If something goes wrong, contact us with your GBEX barcode; we manage the carrier's claim process on your behalf.
Good to Know
- Coverage is calculated on the declared value entered when creating your shipment — under-declaring your item's real value limits your coverage.
- Items on the prohibited/restricted list (see Terms of Use) are not covered by insurance.
- Reporting a loss or damage claim as soon as possible with your GBEX barcode speeds up the resolution process.
